The publisher name "Berkley" by itself is being used on ISFDB as a catch-all publisher for records that the imprint is yet to be determined. If you have a publication where "Berkley" would make the best sense as a name then use Berkley / Berkley Publishing Corporation.

Usual ISBN Prefix 0-425.

The Wikipedia wikipedia:Berkley Books article is not well source and allegedly reports:

  • Founded as Chic News Company in the 1950s
  • Renamed Berkley Publishing Co. in 1955
  • Acquired by Putnam in 1965

The following imprints have been identified on ISFDB.
