The following links on this page are NOT to Screen Helps... should they stay here? Should they stay in Category:ISFDB_Help (I put all links here into the category)? Should they be moved elsewhere in Help, but remain in the category? Every other link on this page is to a Help:Screen:xxxx page.
- Editing:Merging_Authors
- I'm thinking removed from this page and maybe merged. This page may be duplicate material suitable for cleanup, as at the very top it points at Help:How_to_merge_authors. An opportunity for different instruction for the same task.
- Only 4 pages link to this page:
* User talk:Marc Kupper (← links) * Help:ScreenList (← links) * ISFDB:Community Portal/Archive/Archive03 (← links) * ISFDB:Community Portal/Archive/Archive07 (← links)
- Editing:Merging_Titles
- Only 2 pages link to this information
* Help:ScreenList (← links) * XML:TitleMerge (← links)
- I'm thinking removed from this page and deleted. Help:How_to_merge_titles already covers this material.
- Publishers
- I'm thinking removed from this page... and from Category:ISFDB_Help. It is not a help page. It is not a Screen Help page. It is linked in 7-10 places and it is already on the main page of the Wiki.
- From the result page of an author advanced search, the user can select and merge authors. There is a link at the top of every such display to Editing:Merging_Authors
- Similarly, from a "Title Search" display (the result of an advanced search on titles) the user can merge titles. Such pages feature a link to Editing:Merging_Titles
- These two pages, although not includign the word "screen" in their names, are in effect screen-oriented help, paralleling the task-oriented help in the pages that thy link to. -DES Talk 20:38, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for finding where these two wikipages are ScreenHelps! Kevin 03:46, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Adding Make Author Pseudonym Help Screen
I am adding a link to the existing help page. Help:Screen:MakePseudonym. I found this help page on the site map, but nothing else linked to it. If fo some reason it was removed from this page, just undo my change and leave a note here. Kevin 04:08, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
