To start the process, display a publication and click on the "Clone this Pub" link in the left navbar.  It will bring up a Web page titled "Clone Publication", which will display the cover image for the currently selected publication (if available.) The page will also contain four check-boxes to let you decide whether you want to reuse COVERART titles, INTERIORART titles, page numbers and external IDs. Once you make these decisions, click on the "Clone Publication" button at the bottom of the page. It will take you to the next "Clone Publication" page which is similar to the Edit Publication page. The main difference is that the existing content records are not editable, although you will be able to add or modify their page numbers in the new publication.

The ISFDB has a facility to allow the creation of a new publication based on an existing publication. This operation is known as "cloning" and can save a good deal of time in data entry and title merging.
