This is a list of currency symbols from around the world.

Symbol	Symbol name	Notes
฿	Baht (Thai)	บาท
Bfr	Belgian francs	Currency used in Belgium. Prices should be entered as in "Bfr 450".
¢ or c	Cent, centavo	Used in multiple countries (United States, Canada, Mexico).
$	Dollars	With no disambiguation, US dollars. Also used in multiple other countries as "dollars": Australia (A$), Bahamas (B$), Barbados (Bds$), Belize (BZ$), Bermuda (BD$), Brunei (B$), Canada (C$), Cayman Islands (CI$), East Caribbean (EC$), Fiji (FJ$), Guyana (G$),[5] Hong Kong (HK$/元/圓), Jamaica (J$), Kiribati (K$), Liberia (L$), Namibia (N$), New Zealand (NZ$), Singapore (S$), Solomon Islands (SI$), Surinam (SRD), Taiwan (NT$/元/圓), Trinidad and Tobago (TT$), and Tuvalu (TV$).
DM	Deutsche Mark	Currency used in West Germany, and then Germany after reunification. Enter as "DM 7.80".
€	Euro	Used in the European Union.
Ft	Forint	Currency used in Hungary. Enter as "Ft 30".
ƒ	Guilder (Dutch)	Currency used in The Netherlands. Enter as "ƒ 12.50".
Lit	Lira (Italian)	Enter as "Lit 9,000".
M	Mark	Currency used in East Germany. "M 7.80"
p	Pence, penny	Used in the British Isles. See notes at Help:Screen:NewPub#Price for more details on entering prices in pence or pennies.
Pta	Pesetas	Currency used in Spain. Prices should be entered as in "Pta 350".
$	Pesos	Used in several countries to denote "pesos": Argentina (AG$), Chile (CLP$), Colombia (COP$), Cuba ($MN) or Cuba convertible (CUC$), Dominica (RD$), Mexico (Mx$) (also called "Mexican dollars"), and Uruguay ($U).
£	Pound	Used in the British Isles (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man (Manx) (M£)) as well as Alderney, Falkland Islands (FK£), Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey, and Saint Helena. 	Shilling	Formerly used in the British Isles. See notes at Help:Screen:NewPub#Price for more details on entering prices in shillings.
¥	Yen	Used for the Japanese yen. The 円 symbol is also sometimes seen, but the ¥ should be used in all cases.
元	Yuan	Chinese yuan (元/圆), used in the People's Republic of China (mainland China).
