This is a list of abbreviations frequently used in Edit summaries.

"Abbrev" Meaning Notes
"rv" Revert page has been reverted to an earlier version
"rvv" Revert vandalism less common on this wiki than some
"vand" Vandalism much the same as RVV
"r" or "resp" response to an earlier comment in a discussion
"+" added for example "+link" means a link has been added
"fmt" formatting often used when only formatting has been changed
"sp" Spelling corrections of typos or spelling errors
"cat" Category a wiki category, often mentioned when added or removed
"pub" Publication a basic element of the ISFDB data structure
"rm" Remove used when something is being deleted from a page
"ft" Full text the edit summary is the full text of the change
