This is a list of abbreviations frequently used in Edit summaries.
| "Abbrev" | Meaning | Notes |

| "rv" | Revert | page has been reverted to an earlier version |
| "rvv" | Revert vandalism | less common on this wiki than some |
| "vand" | Vandalism | much the same as RVV |
| "r" or "resp" | response | to an earlier comment in a discussion |
| "+" | added | for example "+link" menas a link has been added |
| "fmt" | formatting | often used when only formatting has been changed |
| "sp" | Spelling | corrections of typos or spelling errors |
| "cat" | Category | a wiki category, often mentioned when added or removed |
| "pub" | Publication | a basic element of the ISFDB data structure |
| "rm" | Remove | used when something is being deleted from a page |
| "ft" | Full text | the edit summery is the full text of the change |
