General Interest Magazine Data Entry
The data entry options for General Interest magazines are more limited than those for s-f specific magazines. Please consult Help:Entering non-genre magazines.
Adding an entry to this list (Older sections)
- Go to advanced search in the database.
- Search for "Editors of <Magazine name>" in the "Author" section
- Click on the "Author" displayed
- Verify that the page includes the issues on record
- Copy the URL from the author page
- Edit the proper section of this list
- Add a line of the form "
[<URL> <space> <Magazine name>]
in the proper alphabetical place - Save the page
Adding an entry to this list (Upgraded Grid Tables)
- Go to advanced search in the database.
- Search for "Editors of <Magazine name>" in the "Author" section
- Click on the "Author" displayed
- Verify that the page includes the issues on record
- Click on the 'Series' name.
- Copy the series number from the URL that appears after "pe.cgi?"
- Use that number as the Series and Grid link number, following the template of other magazines in the table.
- Edit the proper section of this list
- Add a Table segment like the template below in the proper alphabetical place, and then save the page.
