William Henry Bishop graduated from Yale University in 1867. He published several books from 1879 on, most of which were originally serialized in "Atlantic Monthly" or "Harper's Magazine". He taught French and Spanish at the Sheffield Scientific School of Yale College from 1893 to at least 1898. [1]
