From the second paragraph of the best biography to be found on the internet: "Vincent was born in New York City on November 28, 1868, although he often claimed a later date." --Dirk P Broer 16:47, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Locus1 and various other sources list this as a pseudonym for "Sean O'Suilleabhain, (1868-1940)". Those dates agree with the known dates of Vincent O'Sullivan's life, but the most thorough biography we have of his life (linked on his main page) gives no indication of such a "true name". In addition, his Wikipedia page names his parents as "Eugene and Christine O'Sullivan", so unless he changed his name to "Sean O’Suilleabhain", this later name must remain suspect.

Various sources, including the National Library of Ireland list his birth year as 1872, but the biography described above explains this incorrect attribution.
