Phil Giunta was born in central New Jersey but grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His interest in technology earned him a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Saint Joseph's University. Since then, Phil has obtained both Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Associate.

Phil's first novel, 'Testing the Prisoner', debuted in March 2010 but his venture into writing truly began in the early 90s when he began writing fan fiction based on characters from such shows as Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and more. Phil considers fan fiction to be a wonderful training ground for aspiring writers.

In 1995, Phil was a top contestant in a writing contest sponsored by Farpoint, a long running science fiction convention in Maryland. During the con, he met Steven H. Wilson. Wilson is the founder of Farpoint, and a writer, director, producer and actor. Steven's Prometheus Radio Theatre has won both the Mark Time and Parsec awards. He has written for DC Comics Star Trek and Warlord series and is the author of Taken Liberty, a tale from his award winning radio drama, The Arbiter Chronicles. Taken Liberty was published under Steven's imprint, Firebringer Press.

Since 1995, Steven encouraged Phil to continue writing and now, fifteen years later, Phil published by Firebringer Press.

Phil lives in Pennsylvania where is working on multiple writing projects including a second novel and two collections of short stories.
