In 1972, he started the '''One Plus One Studio''' in Manhattan, NY with his wife Nancy. Nancy Tafuri, also trained as graphic designer, is also a well established writer and illustrator who is perhaps most well known as the creator of children's books including ''Have You Seen My Duckling?'' (1985). The design studio is now located in Roxbury, CT and concentrates on work in the book publishing sector.
