Mr. M. Leone Bracker of Ipswich, Massachusetts, drowned at a picnic, or swimming party, at Rye Beach, New Hampshire, mid-day August 25, 1937. A group of Ipswich residents including his wife and one of their two daughters, who were on the beach nearby. He was missed afterward; they could not find the body but the Coast Guard did and the Medical Referee judged accidental drowning later that day.

Famous paintings include several reproduced as World War-time posters to support Allied morale; four portraits of Lincoln, 1934; and [from other sources] The Ten Commandments, a set of ten works (gallery).

Born in Cleveland. Learned art in "New York, London, Paris, Berlin, and many other cities". A well-known illustrator for popular magazines. [features and advertisements]
