Edward Hope Coffey married 1920 Dorothy Stewart, daughter of Dr. George David Stewart (president American College of Surgeons, member NYU Medical College), "member of the Junior League and graduate of the Spence School for Girls". A son was born 1928-04-20.

Hope's latest humorous book "Alice in the Delighted States, a parady of the classic Alice, is proving a best seller of the season."
