A.B. Ming has been hanging around colleges and universities for most of her life as a student and a professor, but she suspects that some of the most intriguing events on campus happen in those mysterious staff offices far away from the classrooms and research labs. Her first published story, set like "Want's Master" in her "Osynth" universe, came out in <i>The Leading Edge</i>, September 2001. When not writing fiction, she teaches science and philosophy of science at a small college, gardens, and veers from one attempt at self-improvement to another. She lives in Wisconsin.<br /><small>2002</small>
