Teddy

Gregg Rickman assumes in To the High Castle, Philip K. Dick: A Life 1928-1962 Teddy to be a pseudonym of Philip K. Dick that he then would have used for 17 works published in The Berkeley Daily Gazette in the years 1943-1945. This is further sustained by the notion in chapter 1 of Lawrence Sutin's Divine Invasions: A Life of Philip K. Dick that the author used the nickname 'Teddy' as a child and via thematical & chronological correspondencies. Since Rickman gives only content information on some of them, however, not all could be categorized as poems or fiction for Dick's bibliography. The missing titles are:

  • 1943-12-06 Crunch! Crunch!
  • 1944-01-07 The Hope of Christmas
  • 1944-02-28 Jet
  • 1944-06-19 Motif
  • 1944-11-27 A Parable
  • 1945-12-05 Autumn Mood
  • 1945-04-23 Nightspring
  • 1945-07-02 Tomorrow Is Another Day
