I have a 1995 [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?THWNDSFDRK1995 omnibus] containing the story that states “Copyright © 1962 by Ace Books, Inc.” and does not mention the magazine publication meaning I don’t know if this is a derived/reworked story or if these title records should be merged. FWIW, my copy of the story takes up exactly 100 mass-market paperback pages and is divided into eight chapters named “Chaper 1,” “Chaper 2,” “Chaper 3,” ... “Chapter 8.”  I suspect these can be merged as one sellers of the magazine described “The Planet Savers” as a novel and the remaining stories as novelettes.  [[User:Marc Kupper|Marc Kupper]] 15:00, 21 Dec 2006 (CST)

Various sources on the Internet claim that MZB wrote "The Lion House" in 1960 under the pseudonym "Marjorie Lee". The New York Times is convincing when they see this is not correct, rather "Marjorie Lee" is a real person, whose full name is "Marjorie Lederer Lee". Their obituary of Lee is [http://www.nytimes.com/1999/05/09/nyregion/marjorie-lederer-lee-78-poet-and-novelist-who-wrote-songs.html here].

The Planet Savers

At present there are two title records for “The Planet Savers” by Marion Zimmer Bradley.

I have a 1995 omnibus containing the story that states “Copyright © 1962 by Ace Books, Inc.” and does not mention the magazine publication meaning I don’t know if this is a derived/reworked story or if these title records should be merged. Marjorie Lee

Their obituary of Lee is here.
