Leigh M. Lane lives in the beautiful mountains of Montana with her husband and their two cats. She writes dark speculative fiction that often contains strong social and political commentary. Her novels MYTHS OF GODS and WORLD-MART span across billions of years of science fantasy past to just decades into a dystopian future, while her most recent novels, FINDING POE and THE HIDDEN VALLEY explore the conventions of Gothic and contemporary horror. She has six other novels published in another genre under a different name.

MYTHS OF GODS (May 20, 2011) Take a critical look at religion through an infant God's eyes in this dark science fantasy satire that spans from the Big Bang to present day. After stumbling upon the creation of existence and life, God attempts to personally resolve religious conflicts by coming to the people in the form of five prophets. Instead of setting the people straight, however, God inadvertently sets off a chain of events that will leave time, space, and humanity forever changed.

WORLD-MART (October 15, 2011) Government and corporate business have merged in an attempt to keep the country from going bankrupt, the effects of global warming and antibiotic-resistant disease having caused a full collapse in infrastructure. The class divide has become profound, leaving most people trapped in an impoverished, working class world with little room for improvement. Complacency and corporate hierarchy control and confound the masses, run by the elite few, collectively referred to as "Corporate."

George Irwin remembers a time before the Big Climate Change, back when the airlines were still in business and people still drove their own cars. Sadly, his children have only known an indoor world of endless reconstruction, public shuttles, recycled water, and limited energy. The world has changed much over his lifetime, but he still believes in the American Dream. When an alleged terrorist act lands his wife in the hospital, however, George stumbles upon a Corporate secret that could mean the end of all civilization.

FINDING POE (March 18, 2012) Follow the final moments before Edgar Allan Poe's mysterious death, journeying through twisted bits and pieces of his musings, both brilliant and mad, in search of the truth behind his final, unfinished work "The Lighthouse," while unraveling the mystery behind the elusive woman desperately seeking the author for answers behind her husband's haunted death.
