The de Grummond Children's Literature Collection includes Herbert Best Papers but that is an Unprocessed Manuscript Collection as of December 2015. There is no online finding aid, nor biographical sketch as for Erick Berry Papers. Best was the second husband of Berry (Allena Champlin Best), who illustrated many of the books he wrote. The de Grummond biographical sketch for Erick Berry provides some information about Herbert Best and the "Scope and Content" description of Berry papers provides more. Their collaborations, as covered there, are non-genre and mainly non-fiction.
