West of Eden

T. A. Shippey claims, on his web site to have "collaborated with Harry Harrison on two science fiction trilogies, the 'West of Eden' sequence and the 'Hammer and the Cros' sequence." He is listed as a co-author for the second of thes, but not for West of Eden. Harrison's web page about the book quotes a review which says that Shippey was a "hired expert" to help with the scientific background.
