According to page 165 of Jane Frank's "Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists of the Twentieth Century: A Biographical Dictionary", this artist fits the profile of Roger Davis. According to page 394, he may have also been active as "John Richards" in 1952-1956 and possibly later. However, the identification is not definite.
