Bibliographic comments for Adrienne Martine-Barnes

Dec-2008 - A search for data on this author finds:

  • http://www.swmarek.qs.pl/ksiazki/noty/mar_bar.htm - The page is in Polish and includes a picture. The page states she was born in Los Angeles in 1942 with a strong interest in fantasy, and Nordic/Celtic mythology. She sews and collects hippopotamus figurines. Her writing has been influenced by Tolkien, Norton, and Moorcock. The page indicates the source of this data is her book The Fire Sword. It appears the bibliographic detail was taken from Fantastic Fiction.
  • The Encyclopedia of Fantasy by John Clute and John Grant reports that her contemporary and non-fiction work is written under her maiden name, Adrienne Zinah Martinez. One curious mention is "The Last Grail Night is solo." I'm unable to locate a story by that name.
  • Is active in the Society for Creative Anachronism as Adrienne of Toledo.
  • Is active in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) though does not maintain a web page there.
  • As Adrienne Zinah Martinez the only story found is The Chambered Nautilus (1993) which seems to be a fiction work but it's not known if it's specfict. None of the sellers mention a publisher meaning it may be a self-published work.
