Archiving

I suggest that requests which have been answered be archived (as there is often useful info which should not simply be deleted) to reduce the size of the page. -DES Talk 20:34, 10 Feb 2008 (CST)

The last time we had this discussion, some editors proposed deleting all answered questions outright, but I think experience suggests that there is enough useful information here to justify archiving. Ahasuerus 22:51, 10 Feb 2008 (CST)
I have archived the page conservatively, moving all requests that I was quite sure were completed to one of the pages linked from ISFDB:Verification requests/Archives. However, in a few cases, while there was a response, there seemed to be some issues outstanding, so i have left the request on the main page. Also, in a few very recent cases I am not sure that the requester has finished using the data to update the db, so i have not archived the request. I would be glad if any more experienced editors were to scan through the verification requests when there is time, and see if any that I have left on the page are really complete and ought to be archived. This has cut the size of the main page significantly, although it is still fairly large. -DES Talk 10:25, 11 Feb 2008 (CST)

Joy of Cooking Query

joy of cooking book bound back words and upside down .1975, how many where published?

Well, that's really not within the scope of a "Speculative Fiction Database". You'll need to find an online source that's interested in cookbooks. Chavey 07:15, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
