Angelyn Ray has garnered numerous awards for her books and poetry. Her collection "Fables by the Sea" won finalist in the Oregon Book Awards Literary Arts contest in 2005. Moondance International Film Festival awarded her finalist status for her story "The Changing Room" in 2003, semi-finalist for "The Minaret" and quarter-finalist for "The Stickspeaker" in 2001. Her poems "To Bud" and "The Face on Neahkahnie Mountain" won first prize in the poetry contest sponsored by the Nehalem Valley Historical Society.
