Hello, I've approved your submission for <i>Das Schiff der Chanur </i> but instead of stating "Primary source." in the notes to moderator (which will disappear after the submission is approved), it's better to become the Primary Verifier (use the "Verify This Pub" link) of the book. It will indicate to other contributor that the data entered is reliable and its source. Thanks. [[User:Hauck|Hauck]] 14:14, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Dondai, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 23:38, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Adding a translated work to the db

I had to reject your submissions to add the German variant titles to the database for the novels by Karl Schroeder. It is better to first create a publication record for the German edition. Use the "Add New Novel" function to add a publication record for the translated work, then variant it to the English title record. If you need further assistance, respond here, or post a message on the ISFDB:Help desk. Thanks. Mhhutchins 23:38, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

C. J. Cherryh novels

Thanks for submitting these! The german titles now have to be varianted to their original English parents. That's possible via the 'Make This Title a Variant Title or Pseudonymous Work' function on the left tool bar if you are on the german title's summary page: you just have to enter the original's title cgi: for example, the title.cgi for Gate of Ivrel is 1886. Thanks again, Stonecreek 03:43, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I have added the interior art for your verified printing of 40000 in Gehenna. Stonecreek 13:50, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Pub Series of Festa Verlag

Hi, I added (and still adding) titles to the following pub series of Festa Verlag: Festa Horror TB and Festa Horror & Thriller. I recognized (too late) that you have aready added some titles of these series but under different pub series titles: Horror-Taschenbuch and Horror & Thriller. Is it okay for you to change the pub series titles and series numbers in your pubs to have a consistent database? Or to give me the permission to do it? Alternatively, I can add new entries for those publications, so you can keep your own records unchanged (in this case there will be double entries). Which option do you prefer? Thank you!
