Roxanna has been a professional illustrator now for almost 20 years. She attended the Ontario College of Art in the early 80s. She published with various magazines, and early in her professional career, she did a series of Angela Carter and of Flannery O'Connor book covers. During the 90's she did several pieces for the ''New Yorker''. Today, most of her work is for books and book covers, in the UK and North America. She has won National Magazine Awards (Canada) for Best Spot Illustration (1991, 1992, 1994); Western Magazine Awards (Canada) for Best Illustration, (1992, 1993, 1994); 2 Merit Awards for Editorial Illustration (1995); and the Society for News Design Award of Excellence (2002). She has done solo art shows in Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Tokyo. {{Ref|1}}
