Welcome!

Hello, ZiggyStrdust, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MagicUnk (talk) 14:06, 25 November 2022 (EST)

The Goblin Emperor

Hi ZiggyStrdust

I just approved your edit adding the Subterranean The Goblin Emperor. I removed the publication series. The book is already in a title series of that name. Publication series are used for series that are specific to a publisher and not all publications of a book (e.g. Ace Doubles, Gollancz SF Masterworks). You also asked about how to add a cover image. You couldn't have done so before your edit was approved. If you view the newly created publication record, you'll see a link "Upload cover scan" which will take you to the proper page. Please remember that the uploaded file should be no larger than 600 pixels on its longest side and no larger than 200 kb. After you have uploaded the image, you'll have to do an edit to add the url of your newly updated image to the publication record. I usually right click on the image to copy the image url. Then in the publication page, use the Edit This Pub tool to edit the record and place that URL in the cover image field. Please let us know if you have any questions about those edits or run into any issues. Thanks. --Ron ~ RtraceTalk 10:52, 22 February 2023 (EST)
