In Space...

Hi, and welcome. I accepted your submission of In Space... and made a few changes to it to conform to the way the ISFDB wants to have things. Most importantly, in the case of an anthology with an explicitly credited editor, we use the "author" credit just for the editor, leaving the contributor credits to the individual title content authorship. So I used the Amazon Look Inside's TOC list to construct contents for it, including your work. Please review and make any changes that are appropriate (if you have a copy of the publication, I'd very much appreciate any corrections to the types for the various works -- I know they are not all short fiction). While researching that, I also found a trade paperback edition, so I entered a record for that as well. Again, welcome, and thank you for contributing. --MartyD 10:54, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

State of Horror Pennsylvania

Hi - I accepted your submission for State of Horror: Pennsylvania but I had to make several changes to put it into the correct form for the database. In the future if you could please format your suggestions like this, your entries will go in much quicker and smoother (And with the least chance for misunderstanding).

Publisher: You entered "Rymfire Books", I changed it to "Rymfire eBooks" to match the publishers name on the title page and shown at Amazon.

ISBN: You entered "B004TGTT4Y" which I assume is the Amazon ID. If the Amazon ID is the only identifier then you should put it in the ISBN field as a 'Catalog Number' and precede it with a hash symbol like so "#B004TGTT4Y"... but in this case, if you look inside the ebook you will see that Rymfire eBooks has included an ISBN. Since this is the info a person will see in their book, we should include it instead in the ISBN field. I changed your the record to read "978-1-257-12685-9" I googled that ISBN and found out that this is actually the ISBN provided by Smashwords ISBN.. so it doesn't 'belong' to this ebook, but since it is in the file it should be documented. You can put a note into the database that the Smashwords ISBN appears in the book, but the Amazon ID number as #B004TGTT4Y.

Title: You entered "State of Horror Pennsylvania" but 'Pennsylvania' looks like a subtitle to me, so I changed it to "State of Horror: Pennsylvania".

Binding: You entered 'Kindle' and I changed it to 'ebook'. Right now we document which format in the publication notes.

Price: You entered "2.99", I changed it to "$2.99".

Jade Dreams

I accepted your submission for Jade Dreams and I had to do a little massaging once again.

I changed your price from ".99" to "$0.99". I also changed your binding from "e-book" to "ebook". Lastly.. and this is a bit tricky... You entered Sacred Stones as a publication series. I think you wanted it as a 'Title Series' instead... (Like the Lord of the Rings has 3 titles in the series). I changed it to Title series... and no.. you didn't miss the place to enter it, it's because you can't enter it until after the publication goes into the database. In short.. there has to be a Title first.. to put the title into a series. In the future.. just submit the publication first.. then come bac klater and add the Title to the series.
