Welcome!

Hello, Ttarrageel, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

Welcome, Lee

Hi Lee, Pete here. Welcome on board and great to meet you at the weekend. If you want to get active on the ISFDB, as I mentioned to you at Novacon it's a steep learning curve initially but the Moderators are here to help you through the process, and not berate you for doing something incorrectly... we've all been through the process and have all made mistakes in learning how to properly use the Python software for bibliographic work, as there are things it can and cannot do. Many other authors have entered their own work here into the database... I'd first recommend reading the Getting Started page, and especially learning the difference between a Title record and a Publication record, which can confuse new editors but it's quickly learned. Have a go at entering one of your collections, maybe, and I'll keep an eye out for your edits and advise or accept accordingly (although other editors may beat me to it). Any questions, please don't hesitate to leave me a message and add four tildes ( ~ ) to the end of your message, which automatically adds your ID and the date/time to your messages. To reply to a message, hit the "edit" at the top right of the message and type away. The Wiki is (strictly speaking) only here for communicating ISFDB-related stuff, although we all digress occasionally. ;) Once again: Welcome! PeteYoung 05:36, 15 November 2021 (EST)
