Welcome!

Hello, Tragon Jack, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- JLaTondre (talk) 18:02, 13 April 2021 (EDT)

Glen M. Usher

Regarding this submission: What is the source for Glen M. Usher and Jason Ross Cummings being the same person? Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 18:02, 13 April 2021 (EDT)

As there has been no response, I have had to reject the edits. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:57, 20 April 2021 (EDT)

Varla of Valkarth

I accepted your addition of Varla of Valkarth, but made the following changes:

  • Title: We normalize title case so "of" is lower case (see "Case" under Template:PublicationFields:Title).
  • Format: I set the format to "tp" (trade paperback) based on the Amazon description. As you verified the pub (i.e. stated you have a copy), the format should not be unknown. Please confirm the correct type.
  • ISBN: I changed the ISBN10 to the ISBN13. We enter the number that is on the pub. Per the rear cover image on Amazon, it has the ISBN13 (which would be normal for any pub after 2007).
  • Image: I added an image from Amazon. You are welcome to upload a local image instead.
  • Interior Art: I added a record for the interior art.
  • Synopsis: When copying a synopsis, the source must be provided. Since it matched the Amazon product page, I sourced it to Amazon.

We appreciate your submission & hope you will continue to contribute. ISFDB has some conventions that need learning so please check out the help links in the welcome message above. And let us know if you have any questions (ISFDB:Help desk is a good resource for asking). -- JLaTondre (talk) 10:08, 17 April 2021 (EDT)

The Moon the World Forgot

I accepted your addition of The Moon the World Forgot, but made the following changes:

  • Title: We normalize title case so "the" is lower case (see "Case" under Template:PublicationFields:Title).
  • Author: Added a space after the period in User's name.
  • Format: Based on the Amazon dimensions, we categorize this as a "tp" (trade paperback) and not a "pb" (mass-market paperback).
  • Image: I added an image from Amazon. You are welcome to upload a local image instead.
  • Interior Art: I added a record for the interior art.

Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 10:13, 17 April 2021 (EDT)
