Welcome!
Hello, TonyDen, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Help pages
- Field-by-field guide to entering new publications into the database
- Help:Getting Started
- What the ISFDB Wiki is for
- FAQ
- Wiki editing help - Tips on how to use the wiki-specific features when editing wiki pages.
- Wiki Conventions - How things are usually done on this wiki.
- Help:How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki
Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.
I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 17:23, 24 November 2018 (EST)
Cover artist for Six of Swords
Hi, could you please notify the primary verifier of the publication Six of Swords that you have found the cover artist Steve Crisp, and how you came to that discovery? Thanks in advance, --Dirk P Broer 17:29, 24 November 2018 (EST)
War with the Newts
Hello,
About your submission: The book is here and is visible in the title list, original title list and the author page. As you are trying to add it to the M. & R. Weatherall translation, keep in mind that we keep separate titles per translator so the book is where it belongs under the Ewald Osers translation list.
Are you saying that the translator is M. & R. Weatherall? Or did you just not realize that there is more than one English title record for this one? Or is there something else happening here? Thanks! Annie 14:18, 3 February 2021 (EST)
Hi Annie I see my error, apologies, best you disallow my edit. I had come in via the publisher link and not seining a reference back thought it was a mild omission i could help fix. I was not cognizant of the differentiation by translator. Sorry for this oversight. User:TonyDen
- Easy mistake to make if you are not used to how the DB works. :) Thanks for getting back to me. Annie 08:51, 4 February 2021 (EST)
Argosy (UK)
I'm holding your submissions to add Argosy (UK), August 1968 and Argosy (UK), October 1968. You did not enter any contents for these records. What are the genre stories in these issues? Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 18:16, 28 June 2021 (EDT)
