Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Creating titles before publications
I had to reject your submissions to add new Italian translations of Joe Haldeman works, because they created titles without publications. A publication must be created first. In this case, go to the publication record, click the "Edit This Pub" link under the Editing Tools menu, then add the Italian language contents. Once the Italian titles are in the database, then variant them to the original English titles. Thanks. Mhhutchins 16:23, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

- No trouble for me at all. I just hate that you went to a lot of unnecessary effort. Editing the ISFDB can be challenging for newcomers, but please stick with it. Thanks for pointing out that these are the same person. However, we do not merge them, we make one an alternate name. I made Bob Klasnich an alternate name for Robert Klasnich. John Scifibones 21:13, 27 August 2023 (EDT)
