Welcome!

Hello, Subvisser5, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! John Scifibones 11:42, 1 November 2022 (EDT)

Weird Women: Classic Supernatural Fiction by Groundbreaking Female Writers: 1852-1923

Thank you for entering the ebook, with complete contents. You did a very good job for a first submission. One point, we have very specific rules regarding case. In particular, how to treat hyphenated words. Take a look at the 5th bullet point Case here. John Scifibones 11:55, 1 November 2022 (EDT)

Happy to help! Thanks for the heads-up on case and hyphenation. Sorry for missing that. Subvisser5 (talk) 09:48, 3 November 2022 (EDT)

At least 1 story, "The Third Drug", needs to be made a variant. --Username (talk) 20:44, 20 July 2023 (EDT)

Black Book of the Werewolf

Hello. I have accepted your submission. A couple of attention points though:

  • ASIN: only for ebooks, as you've added the tp ISBN I've retained the publication record for the paperback edition. You can clone the resulting record for the ebook edition if you wish.
  • Format: if size is over 4x7.25 inches, then it's tp (pb's for smaller-dimension paperbacks)
  • Publisher is in the format imprint / publisher (especially useful since on the back there's only comet press (as an aside, other Red Room Press and/or Comet Press publication records may have to be updated to reflect this relationship...)
  • We tend not to record designers as cover artists (but I've left it unchanged for this one)
  • Price format is with decimal fraction (ie $13.00)
  • Web page URL should go into the publication record, not the title record (granted, this isn't always clear-cut, but a rule of thumb is to always add URL to pub record, unless it's to the actual text itself, then the URL goes into the title record)
  • Since it's tp, I've added the page numbers from Amazon's LookInside.
  • Added Amazon's cover URL

Thank you for the pointers and making those corrections. I'll remember these going forward. Subvisser5 (talk) 14:31, 11 March 2023 (EST)
