Adding translated works to the database
I had to reject your submission to add a Polish title variant to Ancillary Justice. It is best to first create a publication record for the translated work, and then variant its title to the original English title. Use the "Add New Novel" function under the "Add New Data" menu and fill in the fields. Thanks. Mhhutchins 19:44, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
Ancillary Justice
You used the wrong function to add the Polish translated publication to the database. As mentioned above, you should use the "Add New Novel" function first. By using the "Add Publication to This Title" function under the Editing Tools menu, you added the Polish publication to the English title. I will accept the submission, but will have to unmerge the publication from the English title, create a new Polish title, which I will then variant to the English title.
Also, we can not link to a cover image on a website which hasn't given us explicit permission. I will have to remove the link from the publication record. Keep this in mind for future submissions. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 19:49, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
I also had to make other changes. The publication date was changed to "2015-08-12" and the format from "pb" to "tp" (for trade paperback). Mhhutchins 19:52, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
