Welcome!
Hello, Serapsi, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Help pages
- Field-by-field guide to entering new publications into the database
- Help:Getting Started
- What the ISFDB Wiki is for
- FAQ
- Wiki editing help - Tips on how to use the wiki-specific features when editing wiki pages.

- Help:How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki
Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.
I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Annie 22:13, 5 March 2022 (EST)
Bloodreams, Fall 1994
I approved the addition of the cover but in the future, please use "Upload new cover scan" from the Publication page - that way the site will assist you with adding the correct license tag (you still need to add one here and it will in the correct place for our archives.
While I was there, I did a few changes to the magazine itself to bring it to policy:
- We have capitalization regularization rules: See the help page so I brought all needed titles to policy
- When the same artist has two or more illustrations with the same name (or Untitled), the second one receives [2], the third [3] and so on.
- Essays with common names need to be disambiguated with the name of the book/Magazine.
Let me know if you have any questions and welcome again! Annie 22:21, 5 March 2022 (EST)
- One question though: do the untitled images by Syd Edwards belong to the a specific story? If so, the policy is to name them with the name of the story they belong to instead of Untitled. Thanks! Annie 22:23, 5 March 2022 (EST)
Bloodreams, Fall 1994, Replies to tips
Hello Annie! Thank you for the information. I had not seen the "Upload new cover scan" link because I just went into the "Edit" view right away. I see where it is now and will keep it in mind in the future.
I used the template for adding tags to the cover image page. If I did it wrong, let me know.
The illustrations by Syd Edwards have their names changed to reflect the stories they are part of. The third image, however, is next to a page in which a story ends and a poem begins. I left that art as "Untitled" because I do not know from the text of the story and poem which one the art corresponds to. If this is not correct, let me know.
Thank you for your help on my first entry! And let me know if I need to do anything else. Serapsi 11:37, 6 March 2022 (EST)
- I still do not see a license template on the file :) See how an image with a template looks like: here. You need to edit the page where the cover is and add the template, updating the needed fields. See the help page for more details on acceptable tags. You can do that or you can re-upload the file (which will do it automatically) and then we can delete the old image after you update here the publication link points. Let me know if you need more assistance on that.
- When it does not belong to a story, we name the images with the name of the publication. So in this case, that orphan one will become "Bloodreams, Fall 1994". See the Artwork section for more details.
- PS: No need to start a new topic to respond - there is an edit button at the end of the title of each entry and you can respond by clicking on it and using progression of :s - see how I did it here :) Annie 20:16, 6 March 2022 (EST)
- Hello Annie. I'm not sure why the template did not save; maybe I added it to the wrong spot. I decided to upload a new cover scan. I also changed the last interior art name. Thank you for your help. Serapsi 17:29, 7 March 2022 (EST)
- Possibly although I did not see it anywhere in the wiki (Your contributions) so maybe it threw an error on your and you did not notice? Anyway - edit approved and I deleted the old image so we are all set I think :) Thanks again for adding the magazine and let me know if I can assist further. Annie 17:33, 7 March 2022 (EST)
