Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

The Joy of Technology

The submission to add this publication was accepted, but a few changes were necessary in order for it to meet ISFDB standards. (There are links to the help page in the Welcome section above.)

  • The binding format was changed from "Chapbook" to "tp" which stands for trade paperback, or a trade-size softcover book.
  • The link to the cover image on the publisher's website was invalid. In any case, it is on an unauthorized website, or one of which we don't have explicit permission to deep-link to the files on their servers. I will download the image to my local hard drive, then upload it to the ISFDB server.
  • A record was created for the contents of the chapbook in the form of a novelette of SHORTFICTION type. This is an ISFDB standard for chapbooks.
  • I have remove the review content record. Reviews records are only added to the contents of the publication in which they actually appear. They are then linked to the record of the book that is being reviewed. Because no one has created a record for Interzone 238 (January 2012), the review record doesn't exist yet. If you have a copy of that issue, you can create a record of it in the database.

I forgot to add: the publisher was changed to Pendragon Press and it was placed into the publication series Pendragon Chapbooks. Also, when you get a chance, please do a primary verification of the record if you have a copy of the book. Thanks again. Mhhutchins 17:48, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

The notice of publication on the publisher's website is dated 2011-08-26. I'm going to use this as the publication date of the book. Mhhutchins 17:59, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
