Bio:Ron Miller
Thank you for visiting the ISFDB wiki.
I see that you have created Bio:Ron Miller. I have edited it to conform more clsoely to our Help:Contents/Purpose#Biographies biography guidelines. These say, in part, "...a brief, neutrally-written biographical article can be placed on the page Bio:<name of author>" and "The purpose of any Bio page on the Wiki is to inform users and other editors briefly about the facts of the author's life. Bio pages should not include blurbs from or summaries of the author's works. Bio pages ought to be factual in content and the facts ought to be verifiable. If a matter is questionable, sources can be cited."
My edits were largely devoted to:
- adding our standard biography page header, which includes a link to the relevant author page in the database proper;
- making the page read more like an article than a resume or CV;
- removing itmes not directly relevant to the ISFDB in the interest of bervity
- removing the list of publications to a temporary page for use in making entries into teh database proper.
In general, we do not host author bibliographies on the iSFDB wiki, but instead enter the relevant items into the actual database, which builds bibliographies from the recorded titles and publications. Your author database page is Ron Miller. Note that it contains a link to the Wikipedia article about you.
I will be using the bibliography you provied to enter items into the database directly. You may, of course, make such entries yourself.
