Welcome!

Hello, Roge56, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 03:49, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Rewrite Your Relationships!

I've accepted the submission adding this new pub, but the rules of acquisition would question the acceptance. Ordinarily an author would have to have reached a certain threshold to have his non-speculative-fiction-related nonfiction work to be part of the database. (This would not apply if the nonfiction is speculative-fiction related. Hope this makes sense!) I saw that an earlier nonfiction work had already been accepted into the database and allowed this new title. I did make a few changes in the record based on the OCLC record: publisher was changed from "Viking" to "Viking / Penguin Books (Australia)" in order to distinguish it from the US publisher. I also gave the binding as "tp" for trade paperback, which I assumed it was based on some book dealers listings and the size as noted in the OCLC record. The page count was changed to "vii+289" (from OCLC again) as we try to record any roman-numeraled pages as part of the page count. If any of this is wrong, please let me know. And welcome to the ISFDB. Hope you continue to contribute. There are some helpful links in the Welcome section above concerning editing both the database, and this wiki. Thanks.
