Welcome!

Hello, RealRichD, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MagicUnk 11:26, 9 September 2020 (EDT)

Short Stories III: Strange, Weird & Sci-Fi & Vol IV, V

Hello. I've accepted your submission but had to make a few changes:

  • Changed format from pb to tp. ISFDB's format definition is solely based on size. Everything smaller than 4.25 by 7 inches is pb, everything larger is tp.
  • Added currency to price
  • Added note to clarify where price and pub date came from as I don't think they are printed as such on or in the book?
  • Removed ASIN, as that one was for the ebook, not the tp. If you want to add the ebook edition, you can simply clone the existing record and change anything that's not pertaining to the ebook edition.
  • Removed the formatting from the image URL. Any formatting between underscores (like _SX331_BO1,204,203,200_) should be removed.
  • Changed the publication record type from NOVEL to COLLECTION.

Have a look at the final result here. Let me know if it is OK like this. You can answer by clicking on the edit at the far right next to the title of this message.
Consider adding the individual stories into the Contents section, too. If you do, you can remove the {{incomplete}} template.
Editing the ISFDB needs some learning. The links in the welcome message above are a great starting point. If you would have further questions, do not hesitate to ask here or over at the help desk. Regards, MagicUnk 12:19, 9 September 2020 (EDT)

Forgot to add: if you provide a synopsis, and it is coming from the back cover of the book, or from Amason.com, do state so, and enclose the text in quotes. Have a look on how I've done that and let me know if it's OK like this (or submit a correction :). Regards, MagicUnk 12:24, 9 September 2020 (EDT)
