Author Naming

Hi, and welcome. I have your edits for what I presume is your own information on hold, and I will fix things up once I know a little more. I propagated the details you want to provide on Robert Hunter to the entry for R. S. Hunter. One of the tricky things about the way we record authorship is we stick to the credits as provided in the publications, then using "pseudonyms" to record their relationship to the primary name (which we call a "canonical name"). So trying to change "Robert Hunter" to "R. S. Hunter" would actually say that the two works listed under Robert Hunter were published with an R. S. Hunter byline. If either -- or both -- was credited to Robert Hunter, then we'd leave that alone and make Robert Hunter be a pseudonym for R. S. Hunter and make variant titles to show that, for example, "Runner" by R. S. Hunter appeared only as by Robert Hunter. Can you confirm how "Runner" and "An Elegy to Jerry" were credited in those publications (and that you're the author of "An Elegy to Jerry")? Yes. I'm trying to edit my information. "Runner" in Abaculus II I'm credited as Robert Hunter. However in Abaculus III I'm credited for my story "Flowers of the Sky: Discoveries" as R.S. Hunter. The publisher for Abaculus II made a mistake when they put me as Robert Hunter. It's my name but I use the pseudonym R.S. Hunter for all my work. The poem "An Elegy for Jerry" is not my poem. It must be by a different Robert Hunter. -- RSHunter88 16:57, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
