Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Parallel Prairies

Hello,

I approved your addition of the anthology but a few small changes had to be made:

• As we are an international DB, all prices need to have their currency symbol before them
• We do not have permission to link to the image you had so I replaced it with an Amazon one.
• Changed the publisher to Great Plains Publications - as we have it like that in the DB :)

The result is here. A question:

• Amazon Canada has the date as 2018-10-02. Did the paperback really come out in September?

Thanks for that. My recollection is that the book came out at the end of September, but if Amazon says Oct. 2nd, that's fine with me.

Editing my User page

When I try to edit my user page, I get this error:

You do not have permission to do that, for the following reason: You do not have permission to edit pages in the User namespace.

Any insight on how I can get this corrected? (If the answer is "You can't", that's perfectly acceptable too.)

Not enough edits of the wiki. Add a few more comments while working with the moderators and it will unlock itself. It is an anti-spam measure. :) Annie 15:09, 23 January 2021 (EST)

10-4. Is "the wiki" separate from the core ISFDB, or is it all counted together? I have a couple of publications in markets I don't think are in the DB yet.

Separate. Think of it as 2 sites, one DB and set of credentials. Wiki is unmoderated (unless we really need to step in). The DB is moderated. :) Numbers are done for both separately. Talk pages are open for anyone. Other parts of wiki are not - we’ve had a few incidents. And working editors end up with enough wiki posts quickly. :) You may want to try now - not sure if we have the threshold on 3 or 5 lately. :) Annie 15:36, 23 January 2021 (EST)
