Welcome!

Hello, Piznajko, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 08:01, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

Ukrainian translation of Hyperion

Hello, I've rejected your submission as you've chosen a too much complicated path to enter this book. You must go the other way round: 1) add the book in Ukrainian via the "Add New Novel" link (which is present on the left on most of our pages) and fill all the fields as per this help page, 2) after the approval of your submission, you'll have a record for the ukrainian translation (a title one and a publication one), 3) then you'll have to variant (to link) this record to the canonical title (the original one, here) by using the top screen of "Make This Title a Variant Title or Pseudonymous Work" link at the ukrainian title level and entering the title ID of the canonical (here "1749"). Are you ready to try this? Hauck 08:10, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the helpful guide - it's my first submisison, so sorry for for not knowing exactly how to submit translations. I've done the 1st step and will be waiting for moderator's aproval to move to the 2nd step.--Piznajko 15:43, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
I've approved your submission but made a few changes to conform to our standards: 1) deleted synopsis (it should be in english and will perhaps be redondant with the canonical one -if it exists-), 2) deleted info about the title series and # in the series as it will be inherited at the varianting phase from the canonical, 3) uploaded a scan into our system as we're not allowed to deeplink to the specified website. The result is here for the publication and there for the title. It's now the latter that you'll have to variant to the canonical title. Hauck 16:38, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Note also that another contributor changed author's name to match title page (text in cyrillic), I've taken the requested steps to link this pseudonym to the canonical name. Hauck 07:59, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
