Welcome!

Hello, Petern84, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- JLaTondre (talk) 08:25, 23 May 2021 (EDT)

CrossTIME Science Fiction Anthology, Vol. VII

Hello. I have your submission on hold as I would like to know where you got the page number, and the additional title you've added, from? Note that it is good practice to -always- add the source of the data you're adding or modifying, either in the notes (preferrably), or in the Note to Moderators field. You can reply here by pressing the small 'edit' to the left of this message's title, and indenting your answer with a colon. Thanks! MagicUnk 12:41, 27 May 2021 (EDT)

Hi, MagicUnk. I'm pretty new at this, and I'm still fumbling along. The page numbers come from a copy of the book I own. There are additional titles in the book also, and I was debating whether to add them at this time or later. Thanks.
Hello, and again welcome to the ISFDB! No worries if you don't get it right first time around - as you may have guessed, editing the ISFDB needs some learning :) The links in the welcome message above are a good starting point, but the best way to learn is by actually submitting edits. Also, don't hesitate to ask for help if you're stuck. You can do that by going over at the Community Portal or Help desk. There are always friendly moderators around to help.
The best way to get your submissions approved quickly is to always provide the source of the data you're adding- in this particular case, if you'd written, either in the publication's Note field or in the Note to Moderators field that you got the data out of an owned book, I would have approved right away (I've now approved your submission).
Also, as you have the book in hand, do primary verify this publication record (you can do that by displaying the publication, then select the 'Verify this pub' on the left-hand menu, and then selecting 'Permanent Verification'). This signifies that you confirm that the data is accurate per the book you have (and if you primary verify beforehand, notes wouldn't even be needed - unless you're adding data from a secondary source, of course :)).
Lastly, yes, please add the additional Contents :) Regards, MagicUnk 06:14, 28 May 2021 (EDT)

Is there a way?...

Short answer: no :). Alas, there is no way to submit a new title, and at the same time variant it. It's always a 2-step process. Regards, MagicUnk 11:22, 28 May 2021 (EDT)
