Polluto: The Anti-Pop Culture Journal

Thanks for submitting Polluto! I have approved the submission and made a number of changes to make it look like other Magazine issues in the database. Some of the changes were:

  • All Non-fiction titles changed to Essay since the "Non-fiction" type is reserved for book length non-fiction in the ISFDB.
  • The list of editors trimmed to just Adam Lowe since he apparently edited this issue based on his online interviews.
  • US price and limited edition information moved to the Notes field as per our Help pages
  • The "tag" field changed to "Polluto1" since spaces within a tag can cause problems. I suspect that you thought that the "tag" field was used the same way as the "tag" functionality that allows our users to designated stories and novels as "time travel", "vampires", etc. However, this field is for a different kind of tag, one used by other applications to link to our record. Generally, we don't need to create these tags manually since the software does it for us when a submission is approved. Now that I am thinking about it, the fact that we use the same term to describe two different things is confusing and we probably need to change it.

A couple of questions about the contents. Is "Mr Gum, the Creative Writing Tutor" (originally submitted as "collection") an overall title for all Rhys Hughes stories in the magazine between pages 16 and 35? Do these stories form a series? Also, is the author of "Lucifuge, the Beast" really credited as "Lucifuge"?

Thanks! Ahasuerus 12:07, 15 Feb 2008 (CST)
