Welcome!

Hello, Nitronaut, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 11:52, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

A Hostile Takeover

Hello, I've approved your submission for this book (yours?). I've just transfered the ASIn into the notes, deleted the number of pages (meaningless ofr an ebook) and deleted artist credit ("Bill" is abit vague, peraphs should it be "Bill Kandiliotis". The result is here. I've also split the synopsis in two pages for display reasons (it was a bit too long). Thanks for contributing. Hauck 11:59, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

A Hostile Takeover (bis)

Hello. I've put your submission on hold, as we record the information of a book at the time it was published. We don't update a pub record each time a new printing/edition is published. My understanding is that the ebook edition was originally self-published, hence Publisher should remain Bill Kandiliotis - it was only in a later, updated, ebook edition that the publisher got changed to Nitronaut Books, and that the cover got updated as well.
To enter updated information, you should clone the original record and update that copy as needed. That way it is clear that the ebook edition got an update along the way, and the original data is preserved. The only change I would make to your original entry is to update the date to 2013-08-00 (I've already done that for you). And then create a cloned record with 0000-00-00 as publication date (which translates to 'unknown'), unless you have a reliable secondary source that has information on when exactly the ebook edition got updated.
