Author data

There are some format issues with your author data update to the Slater Brown record.

  • The legal name field, unlike our other fields, is entered in the format "Lastname, Forenames", in this case "Brown, William Slater".
  • All dates must be in the format "YYYY-MM-DD" or the software will not recognize them. When a day or a month is unknown, use "00" for that element, but do not omit it. "0000-00-00" means an unknown date, used for undated publications, but not on author records.
  • Wikipedia does not permit us to link directly to their images -- you must download a copy and upload back to the ISFDB.

I am going to reject this edit, and re-enter the data in the correct formats. -DES Talk 22:37, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

There was a somewhat similar problem with Meir Gillon. Again the format "1999" does not work, it must be "1999-00-00". Silly, but that is computers for you.

Also, your submitted website works only for a user who is logged into the site, so i had to delete it. Otherwise the submission is fine, and i approved it and re-edited to deal with those points. -DES Talk 22:56, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
