Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

"Pacer" by Raymond F. Jones

I have to reject the submission to "unmerge" this story from the magazine issue and anthology in which it appeared. I'm not sure exactly what you were attempting to do, so please let me know and I can help you. You can respond here on your talk page by clicking on the [edit] link to the right and entering your response below my message in the window that opens. End the message with four tildes (~~~~), and the system will then automatically "sign" and date it. Thanks. Mhhutchins 04:54, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

I have both the magazine (ASF) and the anthology (Future Kin) in my possession, and - in spite of the title - the two "Pacers" are completely different stories, sharing no characters or settings. We should unmerge these titles. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Mstackpole (talkcontribs) .
We can disambiguate the later story so that they won't be merged, but we don't unmerge them from the publications in which they're contents. Regardless of their content, the stories, although different, remain part of the magazine and the anthology's publication record. I'll handle separating them into two records. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Mhhutchins 19:31, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Sorry - I was confused about unmerge & disabiguate.
