Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Columbia & Britannia

I've accepted the submission adding this new pub, but have made some changes in order for it to comply with ISFDB standards:

  • For anthologies, only editors are credited in the pub's author field. And each one must be entered in a separate field. I removed every credit except for those for Adam Chamberlain and Brian A. Dixon, and gave those in two separate fields. Otherwise the title would not appear on either of the editor's database page, but on a page for "Adam Chamberlain & Brian A. Dixon".
  • The date was changed 2009-10-00 based on the copyright page statement (from the Amazon "Look-Inside"): "First Edition, October 2009". This means also changing the date of the content stories.
  • Pub format field was changed to "tp" which indicates a trade paperback (based on the size given in the Amazon.com listing).
  • The URL linking the cover image was changed to the image on Amazon.com. We need explicit permission from websites hosting images in order for us to "deep-link" to their files. There's a list of other approving sites at the "Upload File" link.
  • All of the contents were entered as short stories, and some of them appear to be rather long. If they're over 7500 words they should be entered as novelettes. Those over 17500 words are novellas.
  • I also added information about the Appendices in the Note Field (also from the Amazon "Look-Inside".)

All of these entry standards can be found on the links in the Welcome section above. I'm assuming you have the book in hand. If so, please consider doing a Primary Verification of the record. I also just noticed that the original submission missed one of the stories (p. 105, "All the Jungle Is Thine" by C. Mitchell O'Neal.) It's been added to the record. Mhhutchins 23:38, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
