Welcome!

Hello, Lucidobias, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 00:00, 27 April 2012 (UTC) Luci 00:11, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Links to author photos

Sorry, we're unable to "deep-link" to image files on other websites without their permission. "Deep-linking" (displaying on one website a file hosted on another website) involves using the bandwidth of the hosting website and many of those frown on such a practice. I have removed the link to the photo of J. L. Dobias. If you are the owner of the photograph, you can upload the image to the ISFDB server and link to it. Mhhutchins 20:02, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Personal data

Hi, I approved your request, but we can't 'lock' a record. People like myself can dive uncanningly deep into the net to retrieve data...--Dirk P Broer 21:52, 7 May 2018 (EDT)

Held submission

Hi. I have this submission on hold, as it does not contain any changes. What were you trying to do? --MartyD 21:52, 9 May 2018 (EDT)

I rejected the submission, as it did not change anything. If you return, respond here, and I will try to help you out. Thanks, --MartyD 07:25, 20 May 2018 (EDT)

Luci 15:25, 23 May 2018 (EDT) this submissionnot sure what that's about. I made a change, but not there and all the changes I recall have been accomplished. I always leave a note--was there a note

Ah a duplicate submission would have explained it. I didn't think to go look for that. As long as everything is the way you intended, no worries! --MartyD 20:40, 23 May 2018 (EDT)
