The Cyberiad

I've approved your submission for this publication but I'm confused by "Binding: MMP" - what is "MMP" supposed to stand for? If it's "Mass Market Paperback", we just count that as "pb" for paperback if it's normal size or "tp" (trade paperback) if it's bigger. Also, when it's a Collection, we like to know the contents, e.g. here's my version of the same title. This is usually best done via "Clone this Pub" to save you typing every detail in again. The Catalogue number looks short too - ten digit ISBNs are normal, although we're going to have to cope with 13-digit ones sooner rather than later. And finally - what currency is the "1.50" in - US Dollars, UK pounds, Italian lire, etc? A "$" or "£" prefix is commonly used, I'm not an expert in all the other variations but they're probably somewhere in the help.

Sorry if this sounds like a huge list of complaints - it's not meant to be, it's just that we like to get new editors up to speed as soon as possible so the other editors and moderators can get on with other work with little need to check your submissions. All new editors are welcome! BLongley 17:24, 1 Jul 2007 (CDT)

I've just accepted this second submission of what appears to be the same publication that BLongley approved above. After accepting it, I went back and added/amended the following information:
  1. The catalog number was wrong. Research shows that the ISBN should be 0-380-00517-4
  2. "MMP" changed to "pb"
  3. "1.50" changed to "$1.50"
I didn't know about the previous submission. If you find that you've submitted wrong information (or if the moderator asks for further verification) you should edit the original submission, not create a new one. Thanks and welcome to the ISFDB. Mhhutchins 17:40, 1 Jul 2007 (CDT)
