Welcome!

Hello, Lisa bouchard, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 16:19, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

'The Shattered Door

I've accepted the submission adding this publication to the database, but have made changes in order for the record to comply with ISFDB standards (those are linked in the Welcome section above.)

  • The date was changed from 2012-00-00 to 2012-09-00 (September 2012) based on the date as shown on Amazon's "Look Inside" feature.
  • At 8.5 inches tall (according to the Amazon listing), this is a trade paperback which is entered into the binding format field as "tp".
  • "Morrison Investigations" (and the number of the series) was removed from the publication series fields. This is a title series (a series based on the content, not the publishing/marketing of the book). I've move it to the title record.
  • The link to the cover image file on your website has been replaced with one on Amazon's. We can only link to website which give us explicit permission to do so. These are deep-links, meaning that the bandwidth used to display the image on the ISFDB record when displayed comes from the host server. And some webhosts don't like this practice.
  • The source for the data must be given in the note field unless you're working from the actual book. In that case you should mention that in the "Note to Moderator" field which allows the moderator to accept the submission without having to research it. I'm assuming you have a copy of the book and can do a Primary Verification of the record. Please do so when you get a chance (instructions linked in the Welcome section.)
  • I've edited the synopsis as it goes into a lot of plot detail.

Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 16:35, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
